Welcome to my site!

I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Information Management at Maastricht University. I joined Maastricht University in 2020 after earning my PhD at the University of Antwerp (Belgium).

My work follows two main research streams. First, I am interested in firms’ disclosure strategies and market participants’ use of information in capital markets. In the second stream, I am interested in how digital technology impacts firms’ efficiency, innovation, and employment. In 2022, I obtained a Marie Curie fellowship from the EU (€200,000) to research the causes and consequences of firms’ increasing focus on artificial intelligence.

I coordinate and teach courses in the field of information management at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

I was a visiting researcher at the Operations, Information and Decisions Department at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Fisher School of Accounting at the University of Florida.

In 2023, I changed my family name from Gerken to Ohlrogge.
